Life on Tour!

Pudsey

Wow what a couple of weeks. My new tour, British Baking Live is now well and truly underway and what a brilliant and crazy couple of weeks it’s been. So far I have visited; Poole, Reading, Cardiff, Aylesbury, Eastbourne, Torquay, Bath and Liverpool! As I write I am on my way over the water to Dublin. My first tour earlier this year never made it to Ireland, so I am really excited to bring my baking to the emerald isle. For those of you who have made it to one of my shows I hope you had a good time. Audiences so far have been amazing and very supportive. I have been overwhelmed by how many of you want to come and join me on stage and the levels of skill and enthusiasm have been incredible. Highlights of the tour so far include baking my scrummy Baked Somerset Brie on stage every night, getting excited about Christmas baking with some delicious mince pies, and my darling Mum coming to see me in my home town of Liverpool. A very special night indeed.

If you have been inspired by any of the bakes from the tour, don’t forget to check out the recipe section of my website, where you will find a selection of exclusive recipes from my new book Paul Hollywood’s British Baking appearing over the next few weeks.

Life on tour is pretty manic and at times not very glamorous as I race up and down the country, from venue to venue. Last weekend I had a couple of days off, but there was no time to put my feet up. Instead I pegged it back to London to join Bezza on stage at BBC Good Food Show in Olympia. As always it was a treat to bake with Mary and as it was Children in Need day we were lucky enough to be joined on stage by Pudsey!  Also hanging out backstage were the brilliant Michel Roux Jr and Jamie Oliver.

Now back to the day job . . . Happy Baking x
